RAMPANT Renfrew are back in action today as they take on Prestwick ... and will look to maintain their upwardly direction in the CSL Western First Division.
Skipper Sajid Majeed’s side moved up to third place in the division thanks to last weekend’s three-wicket victory over Weirs at KGV playing fields.
Renfrew won the game by three wickets and the manner of the victory was due to some key performances from the ’Frew stars.
In the bowling stakes, skipper Majeed enjoyed a fine day, taking four wickets for the loss of just 40.
And, in terms of batting, Muhammed Ramzan top scored with 45, with Imtiaz Uddin just behind him on 43.
Renfrew will look towards regular openers Ahmed Said and Kashif Parvez to do the damage this afternoon, while Ramzan will be eager to build upon his individual performance a week ago.
The ’Frew are further strengthened by the likes of Abdul Shakoor and Anjum Aslam are both capable of big scores when the going gets tough.
This afternoon’s game at KGV will start at noon.
