THE Glynhill Hotel in Renfrew is gearing up to stage the Royal Caledonia Curling Club’s 2010 Annual Gala Awards Dinner.
A spokesperson for the organisation said: “This is an opportunity to celebrate curling in Scotland.
“It is also an opportunity to celebrate the successes of teams, curlers, coaches, volunteers and more through the Scottish Curling Awards.”
The event will be held on Friday, May 21, at 6.30pm for 7pm.
Guests will be entertained by Master of Ceremonies and Gala Dinner favourite, John Beattie, a Broadcaster and ex-International Rugby Player, while enjoying a fantastic three-course dinner.
After dinner guests will be further entertained by Guest Speaker Bill Copeland, a lawyer practising in Scotland and a popular performer on the after-dinner circuit.
After the traditional auction and raffle, the evening will focus on the Scottish Curling Awards when the winners will be announced
Titles up for grabs are: Young Curler of the Year, Team of the Year, Grassroots Coach of the Year, Elite Coach of the Year, Ice Rink Manager of the Year, Ice Maker of the Year, Writer/Journalist/Photographer of the Year and Ice Diamond Award.
