FERGUSLIE Bowling Club was the setting for this year’s Paisley Veterans Bowling Association Finals Day.
Unfortunately, the thundery and wet weather played a part, so only two of the four scheduled finals were staged – the Singles and the Pairs.
The Triples and Fours will now be held at a later date.
In the Singles, the two men who reached the final were Bob Morrow of Hawkhead and John Dalton of Meikleriggs.
This was a game that see-sawed throughout but, in the end, John was crowned champion, following a 21-17 win.
And, in the Pairs, J Wright and Bobby Williamson represented Wellmeadow, while A Barkley and T Herbertson flew the flag for Inchinnan.
