WELLMEADOW have tightened their grip on the Paisley Veterans Bowling Association’s Outdoor League table after extending their lead to four points.
The league leaders’s 6-2 win over Anchor maintained their status as the team to beat, with second-placed Ralston unable to dent their lead after managing the same score when they overcame Ferguslie.
Caledonia may have seen their title challenge run out of steam after a surprise 5-3 defeat to strugglers Renfrew.
Inchinnan, now nine points adrift of Wellmeadow, could only muster a 4-4 share with Blacklandmill, while Anchor did the same when they took on Charelston.
Meikleriggs inflicted a 6-2 reverse on Kilbarchan, while basement boys Priorscroft took another sore one as they were beaten 6-2 by Victoria.
Result of the week went to Hawkhead, when they smashed Elderslie Wallace 8-0.
