Guy and Reilly return for Saints

ST MIRREN boss Danny Lennon will have some extra firepower at his disposal this weekend after welcoming two front men back into his squad.

Striker Lewis Guy returns from suspension after serving a two-game ban and will rejoin Lennon’s group as they travel through to Motherwell for tomorrow’s Fir Park clash.

And young forward Thomas Reilly has shaken off the ankle injury that cost him his place in the Scotland Under-19s squad last week.

But the gaffer will have to reshuffle his backline after Darren McGregor was ruled out for this season with another devastating knee injury picked up in last week’s 2-1 defeat to Hibs.

Lennon is expected to pair Lee Mair and Marc McAusland in the centre of defence for tomorrow’s meeting with Stuart McCall’s men, while David van Zanten should resume his role at right back.

Lennon said: “We welcome back Lewis Guy from suspension and Thomas Reilly from injury, so that will give me a couple of different options.

“Obviously we are now missing Darren McGregor, which is a major blow for us.”

Guy was sent off on his debut following a clash with Inverness midfielder Ross Draper on the opening day of the new season. The former MK Dons hitman had looked impressive as he scored the opener in the 2-2 draw but was hit with a straight red following the stoppage-time tussle.
