Crilly leaves Neilston Juniors

NEILSTON Juniors have parted company with manager Bobby Crilly.

Express Sports can exclusively reveal that Crilly’s two-year tenure at the Brig o’Lea came to an end on Saturday afternoon.

The manager, along with his assistant John Doyle, left the club by mutual consent following their side’s 3-1 Central District First Division defeat at home to Larkhall Thistle.

It’s understood that the Neilston club committee have been unhappy with Neilston’s start to the season.

And it appears that the weekend defeat, which leaves Neilston just three points away from the foot of the table, was the final straw.

First team coach Robert Fox will take charge of training for the time being and it’s understood that the Neilston committee will meet this evening to discuss their search for successors to Crilly and Doyle.

On target for Neilston during Saturday’s defeat was James Canning.
