LEFT-SIDED midfield ace Steven Robb is at the centre of an injury scare.
Robb, who bagged his first start in four games at the weekend and had an excellent outing, came off with six minutes to go and was replaced by on- loan Celtic star Graham Carey.
And now Robb faces a race against time to be fit for St Mirren’s Active Nation Scottish Cup fifth round replay with Rangers at Ibrox on Wednesday night.
Buddies boss Gus MacPherson was pleased with the contribution Robb made at the weekend.
He said: “I was delighted with Steven but it looks like he’s picked up an injury, so that’s another frustrating side of it.
“We’ll need to wait and see how he is but it may be Tuesday before we find out. I think it’s his hamstring. One of the players was saying it’s his calf but he was putting ice on his hamstring, so I’m not too sure what the problem is.”
Meanwhile, MacPherson quizzed fourth official William Collum over why Garry Kenneth was not sent off on Saturday.
Kenneth picked up a booking for taking Craig Dargo out of the play in what could have been considered a last-man challenge – but Kenneth escaped an early bath.
MacPherson said: “We asked a question and we’ve maybe not got the answer we would have liked. I don’t know what the referee’s explanation of it was, so we just have to take it.”
