Rory makes Saints debut

SAINTS fans got their first glimpse of new signing Rory Loy at the weekend.

And the on-loan Rangers star made his debut on Saturday when he replaced Michael Higdon for the last 16 minutes of the game.

And Gus MacPherson believes the time on the park will stand Loy in good stead for the big games that are coming up.

MacPherson said: “Rory only really had one training session with the boys and that was on Friday morning.

It is not clear if 21-year-old Loy is eligible to play in tomorrow’s Co-operative Insurance Cup semi-final against Hearts.

Meanwhile MacPherson hopes to announce the signing of a mystery outfield player later today.

He added: “I would hope to add at least one on Monday but it has not been finalised yet.”
