SAINTS fans were last night being encouraged to take advantage of some credit crunch-busting admission prices for the club’s pre-season games later this month.
Gus MacPherson’s side will play their first warm-up game for the new season by heading to Bayview Stadium next Tuesday night to play East Fife, with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Adults will be charged £7 to see that match, while pensioners and children under the age of 16 can gain entry for just £3.
Next up for the Buddies will be a trip to the Strathclyde Homes Stadium on Thursday, July 16.
They will play Dumbarton in a game that kicks-off at 7.30pm.
The cost for an adult at this match will be £5, while pensioners and children will be granted admission for £3.
In a touching tribute, St Mirren will be setting aside their share of the gate receipts and donating them to the family of Sons captain Gordon Lennon.
The Dumbarton star was tragically killed in a car accident last month.
Lennon’s grieving family live in Paisley and it’s hoped that St Mirren fans will be able to come out in force to support his loved ones by providing a healthy away support.
Two days later, on Saturday, July 18, St Mirren will be heading down to the Ayrshire coast to take on Ayr United at Somerset Park.
This game has been scheduled to kick-off at 3pm but the cost of admission has still to be confirmed and will be announced in due course.
St Mirren’s toughest pre-season challenge on these shores is likely to be against local rivals Morton in the Renfrewshire Cup Final.
The derby match will be played at St Mirren Park on Tuesday, July 28, with kick-off at 7.30pm.
Once again, the admission prices for this particular match have still to be confirmed.
They will however be announced in due course.
