MacPherson: Brady will shine again

BUDDIES boss Gus MacPherson reckons the style of football being played at St Mirren Park is bringing out the best in midfielder Garry Brady.

Former Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle and Dundee playmaker Brady enjoyed a fine season for Saints, earning rave reviews for his performances on the park.

And MacPherson insists that the Buddies will continue to play in a manner that suits Brady’s talents.

He said: “You can see the difference in Garry Brady as we played in a manner that suited him.”

Brady and fellow midfielder Stephen O’Donnell have both signed new one-year contracts that will tie them to the Paisley club until the summer of 2010.

And with Saints gearing up for another year in the top flight, MacPherson reckons the duo are players the club simply could not afford to let go.

Now the manager is hoping they will go on to produce great things during the 2009/10 campaign as Saints look to secure a fifth season in the SPL.

MacPherson added: “Both Garry and Stephen are very good players in terms of technique.”
