SAINTS’ coffers will be boosted thanks to an injection of cash on Friday night.

The club held its annual premier awards dinner and during the night more than £8,500 was raised for club funds via the grand auction.

Among the items under the hammer was a unique signed St Mirren versus Rangers canvas print, commemorating the famous 1-0 victory over the Ibrox side at Love Street. It fetched £1,600.

Also up for grabs was a Tony Fitzpatrick Centenary shirt from 1977 which raised £1,000.

A signed and framed Manchester United 2008/09 squad shirt raised £500, while a first day edition home shirt went for as much as £800.
