SAINTS defender Jack Ross has beaten off stiff competition from his Buddies to end the season with a coveted award.
The 32-year-old right-back has been named Player of the Year by users of the www.blackandwhitearmy.com website.
Former Falkirk skipper Ross had a magnificent debut season for Gus MacPherson’s side after signing a two-year deal last summer.
And his displays were rewarded when MacPherson handed him the vice-captaincy.
Ross also caught the eye of the online Saints supporters, with more than 300 of them voting in the annual Player of the Year competition.
A number of honours were also handed out to St Mirren stars at the weekend during the club’s Premier Awards Dinner at the Normandy Hotel in Renfrew.
