INJURED striker Craig Dargo believes St Mirren’s work ethic can go a long way to saving them from relegation to the First Division.
Dargo, 31, reckons the amount of work his Buddies have put in over the course of this season has not been fully rewarded as yet.
But he’s hoping that their luck changes tomorrow night when the team heads to Rugby Park to take on their relegation rivals Kilmarnock.
The Rugby Park showdown is a game Saints dare not lose.
Defeat could well spell the beginning of the end of their three-year stay in the top flight of Scottish football.
But defiant Dargo, who is currently sidelined as a result of a torn thigh muscle, said: “We have a very good group of players and they really work very hard.
“If we keep believing in what we are doing, then hopefully it will pay off.
“There is just such enormous self-belief in the squad.
“I don’t think our hard work has been met with the correct set of results.
“However, here’s hoping that we can change all that.”
