Andy's going nowhere!

ST MIRREN bosses last night insisted they have no plans to cash in on Andy Dorman this summer.

The midfield magician’s scintillating form is understood to have aroused the interest of Old Firm giants Rangers, who have been linked with a £700,000 move for the former New England Revolution star.

Dorman is also reportedly on the radar of a host of English clubs, including Bolton Wanderers, Plymouth Argyle, Sheffield United and Derby County.

But St Mirren’s general manager Brian Caldwell has revealed that no enquiries have been received for Dorman and he is confident the player will still be starring in the black and white stripes next season.

He told Express Sports: “Any player who scores 11 goals from midfield is going to attract interest from other clubs but we have had no enquiries whatsoever for Andy Dorman from Rangers or from any other club for that matter.

“At the moment, Andy seems to be linked with a number of clubs and Rangers would appear to be the latest.

“Until we hear of something concrete, then we’ll just treat these reports for what they are – pure speculation. Andy is under contract here until the summer of 2010.”

Dorman, 27, is in the form of his life and scored his fourth goal in four games when he smashed home a stunning strike during Saturday’s 2-0 SPL win over Motherwell at Fir Park.

His goals tally for the season now stands at 11, which makes him St Mirren’s top goalscorer, alongside striker Billy Mehmet.

Rangers boss Walter Smith watched Dorman in action during last Monday’s 1-1 draw with Hibernian at St Mirren Park, during which the midfielder smashed home a spectacular volley.

And Dorman’s latest goal against ’Well at the weekend has only enhanced his growing reputation.

He has been a huge hit with Saints fans since arriving in Paisley from the US in January 2007 on an 18-month deal, with the option of another year.

And the Buddies recently exercised that one-year option, ensuring that Dorman is under contract until the summer of 2010.

As a result, any club hoping to tempt the player away from Paisley this summer would have to pay a hefty fee to St Mirren to secure his signature.
