St Mirren reserves continue assault on title

THE title challenge being mounted by St Mirren’s second string in the SPL Reserve League will continue today as they take on Hibernian.

Today’s clash at Love Street will be an opportunity for the Saints second string to dust down their boots for their first SPL Reserve League game in nearly a fortnight.

In their last outing, Saints produced a good performance to defeat Dundee United 2-0 at Gayfield, home of Second Division club Arbroath.

On target for the Paisley side that day were Andy Dorman and Under-19s star Ben Carson.

And today’s game gives Saints a great opportunity to maintain their place in the top three.

Only leaders Celtic and second-placed Rangers sit above the Buddies in the table.

Kick-off this afternoon is at 2pm.
