Saints take a point at Easter Road

HIBERNIAN 1 ST MIRREN 1

CRAIG Dargo's penalty strike was enough to cancel out Akpo Sodje's opener at Easter Road and shoot St Mirren 10 points clear of the drop zone.

Dargo pounced in the 39th minute when he sent Mark Brown the wrong way from the spot after Victor Palsson was adjudged to have fouled Paul McGowan in the box.

A midfield mistake led to Sodje's 26th minute goal but Danny Lennon's side came fighting back and were well worthy of a point yesterday in the Capital.

Lee Mair came in for the suspended John Potter, while Hugh Murray returned to midfield duties at the expense of Paddy Cregg.

Youngster Kenny McLean also bagged a start with Aaron Mooy moving on to the substitutes bench.
