Big-hearted Saints players made a young supporter’s night when they signed both his stookies during their calendar signing event at St Mirren Park.
Young Buddie Kyle Gunn attended the event in a wheelchair as both his legs were in plaster.
And not only did he get a treasured St Mirren FC signed 2013 calendar, packed with action pictures and fixture dates, he also bagged a few treasured autographs on both his legs.
A St Mirren FC spokesman said: “As a family-orientated club, we think it’s important that we reach out to our fans and the community in general.
“And that’s why events such as our calendar signing night in our hospitality suite mean so much to us, as the fans get the opportunity to meet and greet the players and the players can do likewise.
“It was also great to see a smile on Kyle’s face when he collected a few autographs from the players. I’m sure he’s going to be very popular among his friends when he shows them off!”
The spokesman added: “It may have been a bitterly cold night but the St Mirren fans got on their winter woollies and headed over to the stadium in really good numbers for the calendar signing night.
“Team manager Danny Lennon and all of the players were there at the hospitality suite to meet and greet the fans who were looking to get their 2013 St Mirren FC official calendar signed by their favourites. All in all, it was a very successful evening and one which we hope the fans enjoyed as much as the players.”
The calendars are priced £8 each and contain action pictures taken by official website photographer Allan Picken.
In addition, St Mirren’s outstanding SPL games are also highlighted so that fans can keep tabs on when their favourite team is next in action.
