Man held over £85,000 drugs find

Drugs worth an estimated £85,000 have been seized during a police raid on a house.

Officers found what was believed to be cocaine, with an estimated street value of £75,000, at a property in Castle Street, Airdrie, on Saturday evening.

They also seized what appeared to be cannabis resin, with an estimated street value of £10,000.

A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the seizure in the North Lanarkshire town.

He is expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
