Two workmen died falling from railway bridges within hours of each other, police said.
One man plunged 150ft from a ladder on the Forth Bridge and the other fell from a ladder on the Tay rail bridge.
The worker who fell from the Forth Bridge landed on scaffolding and died at the scene. He was a member of the painting team working on the north side of the bridge, which connects South and North Queensferry near Edinburgh, when he fell.
