Public notices move slammed by MSPs
Plans to end the need for public notices to be advertised in local newspapers have been branded an "assault on information" by MSPs at Holyrood.
The Scottish Government proposals could also see newspapers going to the wall, enterprise minister Jim Mather was warned.
The cost-cutting measure will allow councils to advertise online instead.
