More than 80,000 people were caught watching television without a licence last year in Scotland, figures have revealed.
Glasgow had the highest number of licence dodgers with 23,038 caught, followed by Edinburgh with 4,413 and 3,227 in Aberdeen.
The number being caught is on the rise with investigators finding 78,000 in the country in 2008. Anyone without a licence can be fined up to £1,000.
