£15m home insulation scheme begins

A home insulation scheme worth £15 million has started in parts of Scotland.

Householders will be visited by energy assessors who will offer advice on how to cut bills and receive free or discounted loft and cavity wall insulation.

The first phase covers a mix of urban and rural areas in 10 councils, from Kirkwall in Orkney to Cardonald in Glasgow.
