Man charged after attack on cleaner

A 21-year-old man has been charged following the attempted murder of a Polish national, police said.

Jaroslaw Janeczek, 39, suffered serious head and internal injuries in the attack in Aberdeen's Tillydrone area on Saturday morning.

The cleaner is being treated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
