Call to end 'unfair' phone charges

Two high-profile business figures have backed a campaign to change an "unfair" mobile phone charge which is costing mobile users millions of pounds every year.

Brendan Dick, director at BT Scotland and Andy Willox, the Federation of Small Businesses' policy convener, have joined forces to highlight the problem to Scottish businesses and consumers.

They are backing the Terminate the Rate campaign, which aims to change the law surrounding Mobile Termination Rates, a charge that last year cost Scottish businesses and consumers using landlines in the region of £63 million.
