Man dies in bike accident

A motorcyclist died when he lost control of his bike on the M8, police said.

The 22-year-old was riding his Kawasaki westbound at about 11.40pm when he hit the central reservation near the Shotts interchange.

The motorway was closed between junctions four and six with diversions in place along the B7066 from Whitburn to Newhouse.
