Fuel aid for struggling families

Families on low incomes will be given financial help as part of a £60 million scheme to tackle fuel poverty, it has been announced.

The Scottish Government said the energy assistance package will target pensioners and families with young or disabled children.

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said: "It leads the way in the UK and will reach out to assist more people in Scotland than ever before."
