lERSKINE veteran Irene Adam was on hand to accept a generous donation from a big-hearted construction company.
Project Management & Construction are long-time supporters of Erskine and recently handed over a sizeable cheque for £1,500.
Irene, a former RAF veteran, welcomed the firm’s director Alan Cockburn and his colleague Hugh Jamieson when they visited the Erskine Home in Bishopton to handover the donation.
The funds were raised with the help of the company’s customers and contractors.
They staged their annual ceilidh at the Bowfield Country Club and those in attendance made sure the veterans’ charity were quids in.
The cash will now go towards the care of over 1,300 ex-service men and women each year.
Erskine’s deputy head of fundraising, Lesley Miller, said: “It was wonderful to be able to show Alan and Hugh how much their donations will benefit our country’s ex-service men and women.
“Project Management & Construction are very generous supporters of Erskine and, and in particular, our Erskine Military Ball.
“It is clearly important to them to be good corporate citizens – and we can’t thank them enough for all their kindness.”
