SINGLE mums or dads living in Paisley can pick up advice on how to conserve energy in the home.
The Scottish Government and the Energy Saving Trust have worked with One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS) to create four new factsheets offering energy-saving tips to lone parents.
Established in 1944, One Parent Families Scotland (OPFS) is a national charity dedicated to supporting Scotland’s 174,000 lone parents bringing up 295,000 children.
It provides lone parents and other families with high-quality effective services including specialist advice and publications, family support, flexible childcare, employability and training.
The information on the new fact sheets cover handy tips for using less power, financial help with fuel bills, how to deal with fuel debt and a list of local advice agencies.
You can download the fact sheets from the One Parent Families Scotland website www.opfs.org.uk or you can order a free pack by calling the Lone Parent Helpline on 0808 801 0323.
