THOUSANDS of people have already come on board to back the Paisley Daily Express Stop Knives Save Lives campaign which we launched along side Kelly McGee - the sister of hero soldier Paul McGee.
Paul, 28, was brutally stabbed to death in a senseless attack outside his own home. He was returning from a charity night out when vicious Barry McGrory targeted him in a random assault which was to end his life - much too early leaving his heartbroken family to face a future without him like the families of all victims of crime.
We want to help rid our streets of the lethal weapons and blade culture which brings heartache to so many people - mums and dads who have lost their sons and daughters; husbands and wives who saw their loved ones lives cut short by one moment of madness when a knife is used.
Young boys never getting the chance to grow into men - because they were killed by a knife-wielding thug.
It has to stop and we all have a role to play.
So far, Paisley's top cop, Chief Superintendent Paul Main, has spoken out in support of our campaign, and has agreed to display our Stop Knives Save Lives car stickers on every police vehicle in Renfrewshire.
St Mirren boss Danny Lennon is backing the campaign too pleading with blade carriers in Paisley and elsewhere in Renfrewshire to bin the blades.
The campaign is gathering momentum all over the world with ex-pats - concerned about their town - looking for stickers and ways to back the campaign.
You can join us in the fight by calling in at our offices at 14 New Street, Paisley and signing our petition WHILE picking up your free car sticker.
And you can leave your comments for us to print.
If your life has been shattered by knife crime get in touch with us - back our campaign - and work with the Paisley Daily Express to save lives.
