Erskine ladies lunch is the creme de la creme

FEMALE Buddies are being invited along to a major event dubbed the créme de la créme of ladies lunches.

And it is to be hosted by Rab C Nesbitt’s missus, Mary Doll – aka actress Elaine C Smith.!

However, the trashy TV character has promised to turn up in all her splendour for Erskine’s Ladies Lunch of the Year.

So much so that the theme for this year’s event, which takes place at sumptuous Mar Hall, is ‘Get Your Rox On!’

A spokesperson for Erskine, the charity caring for veterans throughout Scotland, said: “This really is set to be the créme de la créme of ladies lunches.

“Mar Hall is just the most beautiful venue and it will allow those attending to look out their ‘cocktail and party’ finery for the red carpet event.

“Guests will meet the paparazzi and be greeted on arrival with cocktails.

“Lunch, a sumptuous three courses of Mar Hall’s finest cuisine and wines, will be followed by an afternoon of entertainment.

“What better way is there to spend the afternoon – and in the company of one of television’s most enduring stars?”

There is also the opportunity win a fabulous pair of diamond earrings courtesy of the ‘Rox in a Box’ raffle, plus a variety of other fantastic prizes.

The glittering event once again takes place at the Bishopton venue on Friday, April 23, between noon and 5pm, and a DJ will be in attendance playing music for the last two hours.

Tickets for this prestigious event are selling fast.

Priced at £50 each, or £450 for a table of 10, this includes cocktails, three-course lunch with half a bottle of wine per person.
