New beat cop

THE latest beat cop on a town centre’s streets is PC Craig Stewart.

The 27-year-old has joined a team of officers targeting issues in the community including drug dealing and abuse, as well as anti-social behaviour.

He is based at the Police Communty Unit in Barhead where he’s been for a few months.

The constable joined Strathclyde Force in 2004. Among the other concerns on his beat is speeding motorists.
