COPS were checking CCTV footage yesterday in the hope that an attack on a teenager in Paisley was caught on film.
The terrified 18-year-old victim was approached by three neds as he walked alone in the town’s Causeyside Street at around 11.30pm.
The trio suddenly started kicking and punching him about the head and body and then grabbed his bag, which had personal items inside.
He suffered serious bruising but did not need hospital treatment.
Last night, police appealed for witnesses to the attack, which happened on Monday, September 14.
One officer said: “We are checking through CCTV footage in the Causeyside Street area to see if the attackers were caught on camera.
“Anyone with information about this incident is asked to ring Paisley Police Office on 0141 532 5900 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
