BOY racers and their female counterparts have sped into pole position in a survey on who makes the worst driver.
Buddies no longer label the ‘white van man’ as the biggest nuisance on the roads, according to a new study.
Instead he’s been overtaken by speed-hungry teenage tearaways, who have been given the nod by a whopping 72 per cent of motorists.
Car insurance expert Admiral carried out the survey and also discovered that more than half of Buddies are fed up with elderly drivers, pipping white van men to second spot in the nuisance list.
Taxi drivers and 4x4 drivers make up the top five.
Sue Longthorn, Admiral managing director, said: “It’s surprising to see that such a high number of people voted for boy and girl racers, which shows they’ve obviously hit a nerve with the driving public.
“It looks like the white van man stereotype as the nation’s most disliked driver isn’t merited anymore and needs revisiting.”
