EX-SERVICEMEN and women were delighted about the generosity of members of Houstoun St Johnstone Masonic Lodge and Lilybank Sports and Social Club.

Competitors from both organisations coined in £750 from a charity bowling contest, including income from donations and prize draws, at the Lilybank green in Brewery Street.

The money is earmarked to support the work of Erskine Home.

The charity looks after former sailors, soldiers and air crew in Renfrewshire and elsewhere in Scotland.
