Mum-of-five scoops £25,000 in Postcode Lottery

A MUM-of-five is looking forward to a sensational summer after she scooped £25,000 from the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Angela Kee picked up the prize from Street Prize presenter Angus Purden when her PA3 postcode was chosen.

There were 239 winners in the postcode area with Angus handing over cheques ranging from £21 to £25,000.

Active Angela and her partner Ricky enjoy taking their five children to Loch Lomond to kayak, canoe and camp.

And thanks to their windfall, the Linwood family plan on spending the money on new bikes and a bigger tent so they’ll be able to make the most of the Scottish summer.

Angela, 42, who works for Glasgow Airport, said: “I was just struck dumb, gobsmacked and astounded when Angus approached me.

“And when I saw the enormous amount I’d won I felt like a millionaire!”

Angus said: “PA postcodes must have a lucky charm to them – the area has won our weekly £30,000 prize two weeks in a row!

“We had some absolutely brilliant winners this fortnight, who’ve been spending their prize money on anything from kitting the kids out for summer to buying a brand new sailboat. Congratulations!”

Selected Scottish charities also cash in from the People’s Postcode lottery with 40p from every ticket sold going straight to them.

To date, more then £2.4 million has been raised for Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, the People’s Postcode Trust, Missing People in Scotland, CHILDREN 1ST and Scottish Wildlife Trust.

And players in the Paisley area can be confident that proceeds from ticket sales benefit their own local charities and communities.

CHILDREN 1ST provides a Family Group Conference Service for Renfrewshire in Paisley, and Maggie’s have both an interim and permanent centre in nearby Glasgow and Lanarkshire.

Angus added: “Having visited the PA postcode area five times now, we could be back very soon.

“Angela had only been playing a month before we surprised her – so get playing now, as you too could be a winner!”
