A SPURNED lover who brutally murdered his rival in a frenzied knife attack when the affair ended was yesterday jailed for life.
Evil Kenneth Williamson, 33, couldn’t bear it when Jeanette McCulloch decided to dump him and go back to her husband Joseph.
So the cold-blooded killer lay in wait for Mr McCulloch as he returned home from a night out and then savagely knifed him five times. Williamson also attacked Mrs McCulloch, plunging a knife into her stomach and back.
The Paisley Daily Express can reveal that, at the time of the murder, Williamson was out on licence for causing the death of a student nurse he had mown down in his car.
Now he must spend at least 17 years behind bars before he can apply for parole.
Judge Rita Rae QC described the murder of Mr McCulloch as “brutal” and “senseless”.
She told Williamson: “You tried to stop his wife summoning police and you stabbed her three times – a lady you claimed to love.
“You went armed and had violence on your mind.”
