Jingle all the way!

BELLS were jingling all over Paisley as one of the festive season’s favourite events got the Christmas celebrations well and truly under way.

Previously held at Barshaw Park in Paisley, the Jingle Bell Run took place in the heart of the town this year.

Over its two-mile stretch, the run took in landmarks such as Paisley Abbey, the town hall, the museum and Thomas Coats Memorial Church.

Buddies of all ages took part in the event, which included both serious runners and those just out for some festive fun.

And you didn’t even have to run. If walking was more likely to make your bells jingle, then that was just fine.

Plenty opted for a walk, especially parents who had brought along children in prams.

The run started off at County Square, with a crowd of well-wishers there to wave the runners off.

And County Square was also the finishing point at which runners and walkers were presented with goodie bags and got the chance to stay around for some fun in the shape of music and festive treats.
