Did Mum know I was there until she died?

Dear Magenta

I WROTE to you after my dad passed away, which was 10 years ago now.

You helped me come to terms with his death.

My mum passed away suddenly in February, which neither my brothers nor I expected.

Mum was taken into hospital just before Christmas last year with a chest infection. We thought she was getting better and were hoping she would get out but, sadly, she took a turn for the worse.

I was with her all the time until she passed away.

I miss her so much as she was my best friend as well as my mum.

Did my mum know I was with her right up till she died? Did she hear me talking to her and playing music for her while she was sleeping? I didn’t leave her side.

Was my dad there waiting for her?

He told my mum before he died that, when she passed away, he would be there waiting for her with a bunch of flowers.

Are they together again? My mum missed my dad so much and I would like to think they’re happy again.

Also, is she with her brothers and her dad’s family?

Can you please tell my mum and dad that I miss and love them very much and they are always in my thoughts?

Tell Mum I miss going shopping with her.

M

Dear M

MUM says her deterioration was rapid and that, although everyone thought she was well, she had a feeling she would not make it home and that her time was near.

She tells me her mother visited her twice in a dream and an angel also visited.

She gives me the feeling of weakness as though she suffered a stroke at the end without regaining consciousness.

She tells me she slipped away peacefully. I am to tell you that, during those last days, she knew you were there. She heard everything but could not speak.

I am to tell you she died happy knowing she was surrounded by love, both on this side and on the other.

She loved the music you played and I am to tell you that Dad did indeed meet her with a bunch of flowers. They adore each other.

There are three men with her in the brother/brother-in-law link who are very protective of her.

Behind her are approximately 40 shadowy figures and she tells me they are her family. She shows me a picture of her wearing a very distinctive jumper or cardigan, which she says she loved. Mum says don’t miss her when you go shopping. She laughs and asks why you think you keep finding bargains. She never could resist a bargain and loves finding them for you. She is with you always.
