May 26 2009 Paisley Daily Express
Dear Readers
I was devastated to learn of the death of a wonderful woman, whom I was privileged to be able to regard as a friend, Christine Braidwood, who worked at the Paisley Daily Express.
Christine lit up a room with her smile and her musical laughter. We always found something to laugh about, no matter how bad things were.
When I was close to dying last year, Christine’s support helped me get through a terrible time in my life, and I cannot believe that such a special person has gone from us so quickly.
She adored her husband and family, they were her life, and my thoughts and condolences go out to them at this difficult time.
Christine introduced me to Anne, our Editor at the Express, and from there the Magenta column was born.
She was a wonderful bright, vibrant light in the world, and the world is a darker place for her loss, her dignity and grace were humbling, she was a truly remarkable woman, who will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
God Bless you Christine, I shall miss you and your laughter and I’m sure you must have God rolling in the aisle just now.
Our loss is his gain. Tonight he has an extra special angel by his side, to light up the heavens.
