Dear Magenta
I WAS at your first Xmas party night and wanted to thank you for your message.
Since our son took his own life, we have known neither a moment of happiness or peace wondering if we could have changed things and where we went wrong, not realising what he intended to do.
After your message we cried. For the first time in three years things made sense and we had answers.
We talked till 4am, then for the first time in years slept soundly. It was strange we both felt a great sense of calm and could feel his love and contentment around us.
How you knew what I had placed in his coffin, we will never know or understand, but it could only have come from our darling boy.
The next day I was tidying up. On my kitchen floor was a tiny poem card Simon had given me on the mothers day before he took his life.
I don’t know how it got there, but we both feel this was the sign you told us he would send us as proof it was him.

Dear J and C
THANK you very much for your kind letter, I am so glad your son came through and gave you the answers you needed.
He wants you to know he is now settled and at peace with himself, having gotten his message through to you both.
And yes, he did put the card where you found it to endorse his presence to you.
I’m happy that your son is now at peace with himself and hope that 2009 will be the start of a positive new era for you both, filled with joy and love.
