Dear Magenta
I’M writing to find out if you will be able to tell me if my three-year-old daughter is seeing shadows.
Just recently, I have started to feel uneasy in my bedroom and, usually, I am not scared.
I feel as though there is a spirit with me so don’t bother.
Now my daughter is afraid of these shadows and of the ones in the walk-in cupboard – but not the ones by her bed.
She won’t go to bed till really late at night because she is scared and we have to have a light on in the room.
Is something here?
Concerned mum
Dear concerned mum,
AT this age, many children are acutely psychic. I know I was and so were many other mediums.
However, many children are also inexplicably scared of shadows and shapes, so it is hard to tell what is going on here.
She must not pick up on the fact you are sensing something as this will make her worse.
This is what to do – I want you to call Hazel at the church, who will give you white sage and instructions on what to do.
I am also going to put some ‘dazzle dust’ in an envelope for you at the church. Have her help you sprinkle this in the areas she is afraid of, telling her it is fairy dust to take away the shadows.
It may be an idea to change the light shade or install a brighter bulb. This part is psychology but may help by showing how shadows are made by objects and are nothing to fear.
Try making animal shadows with your hand and having her join in. Never refer to spirits or shadows in her presence or earshot and the burning sage will be a fairy candle to her.
The sage should settle things down.
If it doesn’t, someone from the church will come out.
But the wee one must not be there or know about it.
I feel have a sensitivity and would benefit by attending psychic development classes. Hazel will give you information of these on 0141 561 0355.
I hope this helps.
You have a beautiful wee girl – she’s like a wee angel.
The spirits around her bed are in your family link, with a grandmother and grandfather figure to you watching over her.
