Suzuki prices Splash down
SUZUKI has introduced a new entry-version of its Splash mini-MPV model that is aimed squarely at those hoping to combat the effects of the credit crunch by downsizing.
The company says: ``Motorists increasingly face pressure to downsize and shift to models which offer low CO2 emissions and high fuel economy.''
The result is the addition of the GLS Splash, which uses a one-litre three-cylinder petrol engine generating 68bhp with 55mpg economy.
The CO2 figure is just below the 121g/km mark, which results in a road tax cost of just £35 a year from April.
The new GLS costs £8,350 and comes with air conditioning, electric front windows, heated adjustable door mirrors, a three-spoke leather-covered steering wheel with audio controls and radio CD player with MP3 compatibility.
Safety equipment includes six airbags, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution and electronic stability programme.
