Top award for charity

A CHILDREN’S charity that provides free breaks for disadvantaged kids has landed a top award.

Chicks Children, which operates from the Wynd Centre in Paisley is celebrating winning the Trustee Board of the Year Award at the National Charity Awards ceremony in London.

Roy Endacott, Chief Executive of Chicks, along with a team of Trustees and members of staff, attended the award ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.

He said: “This is an amazing result for us and everyone in the charity is grateful for the recognition our Trustees have been given.

“This sort of independent recognition is wonderful news for the charity and provides a positive reinforcement to all our supporters that CHICKS is an efficiently run and well managed organisation.”

The longest serving Trustee of the Charity is local man John Stewart, who added: “Without the work of our 10 trustees this would not have been possible.”
