The Fratellis back Meningitis Trust

CHART favourites The Fratellis have thrown their weight behind a fundraising drive for the Meningitis Trust.

The band, whose drummer Mince is from Paisley, is helping raise awareness of meningitis in children and young people who may not have been aware of the dangers of the disease before.

Jon Fratelli said: “Hopefully the raffle will be a great success and some good can come from it.”

The band has donated a signed guitar Jon played in the Chelsea Dagger video, drum skin and original Chelsea Dagger artwork to the raffle and hope fans show their support too.

It is hoped that over £50,000 can be raised.

Paisley Daily Express readers can buy tickets at the charity’s website at http://www.meningitis-trust.org/Fratellis/fratellis-raffle.html now.

Meningitis can affect anyone, of any age, at any time.

It can strike in an instant, but its impact can last a lifetime.

The Meningitis Trust, the UK's longest established meningitis charity, is dedicated to helping rebuild lives shattered by meningitis.
