Pool will be boosted by investment

IT is good news indeed that Renfrewshire Council is to splash out a whopping £92million on education and leisure facilities.

The new £33million school in Erskine and the fact that Renfrew’s schools will also be upgraded is fantastic.

The sports hub at The Lagoon centre will also be a boost for Paisley.

It is just a pity that the people of Linwood have for decades had to travel to Paisley, Johnstone, Elderslie and elsewhere to enjoy a swim!

I am sure many Linwoodians will welcome the fact that after all these years, the town will have a swimming pool of their town.
