Paisley Centre car park’s a tip

I HAVE to say I think the Paisley Centre car park is a disgrace.

It is absolutely manky.

I work in the town and since the two men who used to staff the car park left it has turned into a big bin.

I took a tissue and empty juice bottle from my car to put in the bin on a Tuesday morning and it was still sitting there on the Friday morning.

There’s plastic bags flying around, chips on the floor and inside the lifts, cigarette ends on the floor, crisp bags and cans strewn all over the place and the bins are overflowing.

It is an absolute tip and it is what visitors to the town see if they choose to park there.

At a time when we are trying to up the profile of Paisley, revive the town and bring people in, this should not be.

Those responsible for this car park – whoever they are – should take action now to get it cleaned up.

This is not a one-off problem.

I see it day after day and I’m ashamed that this is what we have to offer tourists looking for parking spaces.

Clean up your act now.
