Please help Renfrew town centre

WHEN is Renfrewshire Council going to promote Renfrew town centre now that it is complete and is open for business again?

With the time it took to achieve, anyone would think that they would be willing to get people back to Renfrew to kick-start the local trade again.

Everyone I know has avoided Renfrew town centre because of the disruption, and as it went on for so long no-one knows that it’s finished and looks good.

Businesses in Renfrew must have taken a beating and will continue to do so if the council doesn’t do anything about it.

They seem too tuned in to getting Paisley town centre going again, what with opening up streets again and offering grants to businesses to renew their shop fronts, that they are forgetting about Renfrew.

Come on RDC – do something for Renfrew. There has been a lot of money and time spent on Renfrew, so let’s show it off by letting people know it’s complete and see what’s been achieved.

Councillors, you never know – you might get some praise for the new-look town centre instead of the constant bad press you got – and rightly so – since it started.
