A Paisley courier firm is part and parcel of trading history after posting record-breaking delivery figures.
Xpress Despatch, based in Inchinnan Road, enjoyed a bumper festive season by increasing the number of packages it processed by 35 per cent over Christmas 2012.
And the brilliant Buddies are punching well above their weight when compared to parent company’s APC’s 115 depots UK-wide, which managed a 20 per cent increase over the same period.
That’s no small feat considering the company’s December figures mark a record high in APC’s 19-year history.
Syed Ziaullah, chief executive of APC Overnight, said: “Christmas is the busiest time for the industry but owing to the marked increase in demand for our services over the past two years, it was important that we put systems in place to cope.
“Our Christmas planning started in September to make sure each depot in the network was suitably prepared. “
